Hi,
I'm happy to announce that I've just released ptxdist-2022.09.0.
It's another small summer release. There are however two changes to the
core.
The Python wrapper now has symlinks for all Python versions available in
the system. This way, it will no longer be bypassed when Python minor
versions are explicitly called. This is mostly to detect any remaining
Python 2 users. But it can also be useful to avoid generating documentation
with Python.
'ptxdist setup' no saves a config diff based on ptxdistrc.default. If the
diff is available, then it will be used instead of the full config. This
way, upstream changes e.g. to mirror URLs are not hidden by old entries in
the local config.
In addition, the new command 'ptxdist localsetup' can now be used to make
BSP local changes to the setup options. They are saved in .ptxdistrc /
.ptxdistrc.diff in the BSP and take precedence over the global and default
values.
The rest is the usual mix of new packages, version bumps and other fixes
and improvements.
Thanks to all contributors and - as always - the shortlog below.
Enjoy,
Michael Olbrich
