Bunch of features and bugfixes.

Glib has "reuse"-ified the codebase.

I'd like to stick to stable releases for glib unless there is a very good
reason to use an unstable version.

My bad. Drop this. I get fooled by the update flow indicating a new
release version with fixes. The actual release information doesn't
repeat which series the release belongs to.

I'm more likely to make the same mistake these days. Everyone seems to
drop a new release in the github release flow without any other
indication afaik. Github API indicates whatever release came the latest
as "latest" too?
