Hello,

are there any active ptxidst klibc users?

Marc

Hi Marc,

I guess question targets the removal of klibc feature.
Our use case was to generate a initramfs, including busybox, binaries and some shell scripts, to detect the proper rootfs disk/partition to be used depending on some external states.
After mounting the rootfs and run-init (seems some pivot_root from klibc) the usual init procedure goes on.
If the current klibc feature got removed which possibilities would be available to create a similar initramfs which can be included in the kernel? I'm not stuck to klibc but the feature to generate a customizable initramfs which can be compiled into the kernel.

Best regards,
Alexander

Yes, but if it's in use, I will not remove it.

Thanks,
Marc
