Hi,

I'm happy to announce that I've just released OSELAS.Toolchain-2020.08.0.

This is a major release with significant changes. All components of the
primary toolchains have been updated to the latest versions. The highlights
are:
 - binutils 2.35
 - clang 10.0.1
 - gcc 10.2
 - gdb 9.2
 - glibc 2.32
 - kernel headers 5.8

With this release, the handling of required host libraries has changed.
They are no longer built as static libraries. Instead, they must be
available in the host system. The reason for this is that the headers for
some of the libraries leak into the gcc headers that are used to compile
gcc plugins.

The gcc objective C compiler is now enabled for all toolchains.

There is a new mips64el Toolchain. It should be considered experimental.
It's a late addition and has seen almost no testing.

All clang toolchains now include lld.

Download the release here:

Debian Packages will be available at
http://debian.pengutronix.de/

My current plan is to build packages for bullseye/sid, buster, stretch and
Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 and 20.04. Note that for Ubuntu 16.04 clang will be
disabled in all toolchains. The gcc version in 16.04 is too old to build
clang 10.

Enjoy,
Michael Olbrich
