Hello,

I am trying to get the new 3.7.3 python running with the older ptxdist,
but I cannot get it working. I tried to merge from the latest ptxdist
but still fails.

Has someone done this before and could help me?
What files need to be adapted to get the python 3.7.3 to work with the
ptxdist-2015.05.0?

Many Thanks

Regards
Simon

It would help if you said what exactly fails :-)

Normally you would just need to look at rules/python3.in,
rules/python3.make and patches/Python-3* (if there are patches), and
backport those files from a newer PTXdist.

It's a bit more complex for python3. If I remember correctly, then I did
some more stuff in the Core to simplify the Python stuff. I think the pyc
file handling and maybe other stuff.
Also, install_glob is not available in ptxdist-2015.05.0.

I expect that this will be a quite complex task.
