The current version of iputils ping can handle IPv4 and IPv6 and does
not need the big GnuTLS/libgcrypt/.. dependency.
tracepath can also handle both v4 and v6.

do you mean, because there is no suffix at the end or because the
download fails?
I just redownloaded it from that URL via ptxdist get. (works!)
But I can replace it with the
https://github.com/iputils/iputils/archive/s20161105.tar.gz
instead of the codeload.github.com URL if that is preferred.
If so, I should probably also replace the URL in libfastjson.make?
