What kind of conflict? busybox will pick your /etc/inittab from
projectroot/ in the BSP if it exists. No extra rule is needed.

Sure. And the "initmethod-bbinit.make" rule file uses the "install_alternative"
macro which prefers your BSP local "projectroot/etc/inittab". It should work
out of the box.
