I am trying the git ptxdist-2014.07.0 (and master too) version of
ptxdist and get an error while building it.

Thats '"$(abs_srcdir)/scripts/kconfig'. Check your Makefile, abs_srcdir is
generated by configure. It seems something goes wrong here.

That commit is the first where it fails.

Should work now. Please test. 'ptxdist --version' should work again as well.
That was probably broken too.
