When you are using PXE I guess you are running an x86 target.

Does your system still have a serial interface? Maybe you should use this 
interface as the kernel's console to be able to see more what really happens.

Add the kernel command line parameters "debug" and "earlyprintk" (with this 
feature enabled in the kernel's config menu). Refer the in-kernel 
documentation "Documentation/kernel-parameters.txt" for further details.
